SMIG C50 is a drywall jointing compound that is specially designed to eliminate the need for jointing tape. No Tape Joint Compound is suitable for use with both factory-made profile boards and manually tapered edges. Drywall joint compound has an innovative structure that includes a reinforced network of polymer chains that reinforces the joint, making it stronger than the plasterboard itself. Although the use of joint tape is not necessary, it can be used to improve joint strength further.
In addition to its primary use as a jointing compound, SMIG C50 is also suitable to fill in cracks, scratches, and damage on wall and ceiling surfaces.
