What is block paving?
Block paving is also known as brick paving, it is a type of decorative method of creating a road surface, like driveway, pavement, patios, town centres and many more. The block paving bricks are typically made of clay or concrete with the addition of other composite materials and even recycled materials also utilised, like crashed glass and building rubble.
What are the different types of block paving?
There are two basic types of block paving, concrete block paving and clay brick paving.
What is Concrete Block Paving?
Concrete block paving is also known as brick paving this type of decorative pavement is produced from mixed crushed stones sand, dyes, cement, and other materials that are mixed and then poured into the moulds forming durable concrete block paving.
What is Clay Brick Paving?
Kiln Fired Clay Brick Paving – as the name suggests these are made of clay, the brick must be fired in a kiln and baked. The clay paving bricks are available in a rectangular shape, though the variation is very broad from 60x60 to 150x150mm sets 300x300 squares, the custom-made shapes can also be manufactured for specific projects. The clay brick colour is natural, without the addition of chemical dye, as a result, these bricks are not subject to fading and the colour range is extensively wide.
